Dr. Jason Blevins is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee musculoskeletal care, including primary hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, complex revision hip and knee replacement, and hip resurfacing. He performs both anterior and posterior hip replacement. Dr. Blevins uses computer navigation techniques to achieve individualized patient treatment goals. He utilizes the latest surgical techniques, technology, and research to provide the best possible care and outcomes for his patients. 

Dr. Blevins earned his undergraduate degree at Franklin and Marshall College where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in chemistry and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he graduated summa cum laude and received the Faculty Gold Medal. At Maryland, he was elected Alpha Omega Alpha and was a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. 

Dr. Blevins completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Hospital for Special Surgery/Weill Cornell Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He then continued his advanced training and completed an Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery. He served as the Chief Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Fellow with mentorship from leaders in the field and was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award.

Dr. Blevins has authored peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. His research has been presented at national and international orthopedic surgery meetings. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), and the American College of Surgeons.

Research

Dr. Blevins' research focuses on clinical outcomes after primary and revision hip and knee replacement. He is currently investigating the outcomes of hip and knee replacement in young patients. He has an interest in the use of computer navigation and robotic technology to improve outcomes in complex primary and revision reconstruction cases.
