I'm so glad I used Dr. Blevins. I got his name from several HSS hip surgeons, who said great things. During pre-op, they said, "You have a great surgeon". "I thought they were all good," I replied. "Yeah, but YOUR surgeon is REALLY GOOD." The hospital nurse who took care of me agreed, saying he observed excellent recoveries with Blevins' patients. Dr. Blevins also visits patients the morning after. And I can't say enough about Vanessa and the other ladies in his office. They were calm, caring, and prompt answering my concerns. There were plenty! My nerves leading up to my surgery was the worst part of this. Especially since there was no real "pain" following the procedure. I was easily on my feet as soon as I came to and only needed home care help for two days following. The HSS aftercare was also top notch. Vanessa had a nurse get back to me within a half hour of emailing my questions. My at home PT, Rich, was also terrific. This hospital. This staff. These surgeons. THIS is what you want!
