After two years of chronic right hip pain that did not respond to physical therapy and cortisone injections, I finally took a colleague's advice and made an appointment with Dr. Blevins at HSS. He was so cordial and explained in detail that I had severe right hip osteoarthritis with osteophytes that were causing my chronic pain.

Dr. Blevins recommended a total right hip replacement to not only get me Back in the Game as I am an avid swimmer and cyclist, but to eliminate the chronic pain. I had total right hip replacement on May 2, 2025 and the process from pre-surgery screening to the surgery itself to post-op went smoothly. I commend not only Dr. Blevins, but the entire team at HSS who strive to improve patients' quality-of-life. And at my six week follow-up appointment with Dr. Blevins, he gave me the ok to resume swimming and cycling. Attached is a photo of me in the pool six weeks post-op!
