I found out about HSS by watching the TV reality show The Little Couple in the fall of 2019. Due to COVID-19 restrictions for Maryland residents, it took me a while to get an appointment with the Kathryn O. and Alan C. Greenberg Center for Skeletal Dysplasias. But I’m so glad I did!

Dr. Cathleen Raggio referred me to Drs. Jason Blevins and Mark Figgie for joint replacements of both knees. These doctors have been godsends as two major hospitals in Baltimore said surgery was not possible! However, Drs. Blevins and Figgie have seen worst cases of deformities and believed they could help reduce/eliminate pain and increase range of motion in my knees. I had left knee replacement surgery in June 2022 with very successful results. During my most recent visit, I had my left hip revision to a previous replacement that lasted 30 years. I am hoping this helps last just as long!

HSS is my go-to hospital for anything orthopedic even though it is a 5 hour drive in each way! All the staff, from world-class surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and pain management specialists to receptionists, phlebotomists, food service workers and custodians are very friendly, courteous and professional! I highly recommend HSS in my humble opinion!
