For the first time in over a year, I can look forward to walking, enjoying time with my family and returning to the everyday activities I missed so deeply.

After a previous hip revision surgery failed, my condition deteriorated to the point where I could not walk for more than a year. I was living with constant, severe pain and felt as though I had lost my independence and sense of purpose. Everyday moments with my family – and the small routines I used to take for granted – were suddenly out of reach.

Looking for answers, I turned to HSS and met with orthopedic surgeon Jason L. Blevins, MD, who specializes in hip and knee replacement as well as complex revision procedures. From our very first appointment, Dr. Blevins could not have been more attentive, informative and compassionate.

Because I had extensive joint damage from my prior failed surgery, Dr. Blevins took the time to walk me through what a corrective revision hip replacement would involve. He was honest that recovery would be a gradual process, but he reassured me that I would get back to feeling like myself again. Truly, he is the most caring doctor I have ever met.

I recently underwent revision hip replacement surgery with Dr. Blevins, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about his entire team – both at the Main Campus in Manhattan and at HSS Westchester in White Plains.

Dr. Blevins gave me my life back. For the first time in over a year, I can look forward to walking, enjoying time with my family and returning to the everyday activities I missed so deeply. For anyone experiencing complex hip problems or recovering from an unsuccessful prior surgery, I cannot imagine going anywhere else for care. My family, my friends and I cannot thank Dr. Blevins enough.
