I never expected to require a hip replacement in my life and yet, the hip pain appeared suddenly one day for no apparent reason. I was initially misdiagnosed at my local orthopedic specialist and tried physical therapy, which was totally ineffective. I contacted HSS and met with Dr. Blevins, who was very professional and performed total hip replacement surgery 3 months later. My five year follow up this past month. During the follow up, Dr. Blevins showed great results and I now have a new hip and great respect for my surgeon and HSS. The photo shows me at a cross country skiing trip in Canada on New Year's Day 2024. Everyone in the photograph has had a successful knee or hip replacement!
