The HSS-China Orthopaedic Education Exchange provides a unique opportunity for Chinese orthopaedic surgeons and trainees with a focus on arthroplasty to gain valuable knowledge and experience through professional education programs. Structured observation programs at Hospital for Special Surgery, participation in educational programs through live videoconferencing along with attendance at annual symposia held in China are several offerings of the Exchange. Qualified applicants from medical centers throughout China are encouraged to apply to the Junior Faculty Observation Program.

Chinese orthopaedic surgeons interested in conducting research at HSS can apply for a 1-2 year research fellowship with HSS Faculty in a specific service. All applicants are responsible for contacting HSS faculty to inquire about research collaboration. Once an HSS host is identified, submit completed applications to Alessandra Rubeo at email@example.com at least 6 months ahead of the preferred start date.

The entire selection process takes approximately three months from date of submission. Program start dates for accepted candidates are based upon availability. Please note that there is a $500 fee upon acceptance into the Program.
