I tore an ACL and an adjacent meniscus on an icy slope in March of 2021. Subsequently, through the advice of Dr. John DiFiori, I ended up in the care of Dr. Andrew Pearle and nurse practitioner Emma Jane Smith. I had the ACL and the meniscus repaired, and thanks to the combined care of everyone involved, am able to enjoy most active pursuits, including lots of hiking, skiing, inline skating and bicycling. The care provided was expert and superb. Dr. Pearle is a wonderful surgeon, and truly cares about the long-term success of his patients. NP Emma Jane Smith has given me a lot of good advice, and helped me with most practical aspects of pre- and post-operative concerns. More than anything, I appreciated the promptness and the concreteness of responses from the health care team. Thank you for helping me recover from a terrible injury!
