Jessica Heyer

During the last game of my senior year of high school I sustained a knee injury. I was quickly referred to Dr. Altchek, who diagnosed me with a torn ACL. He performed an ACL reconstruction on me, which went very smoothly! After a lot of rehabilitation, I returned to skiing and even joined Penn's Mascot and Cheerleading Team. I was the Quaker Mascot for a year and then was a cheerleader. Unfortunately, I retore my ACL after 2 years and underwent a revision ACL reconstruction with Dr. Altchek. Nearly 15 years after my ACL revision, I am as active as ever and an orthopaedic surgeon at HSS (thanks for the inspiration, Dr. Altchek).
