Matthew Kness

Hospital for Special Surgery will forever hold a special place in my life. At only the age of 10 I was promised no sports career because I had just torn my ACL. When I came to Special Surgery I had no idea what to expect, I was nervous and only 10 years old having no clue what an ACL even was. After meeting with Dr. Green and Dr. Cordasco I felt like I knew everything about the knee. They offered hope and professionalism. My parents and I followed their ACL surgery recovery protocol to the tee. I am proud to report that I am 16 years old, 6' tall and 200 lbs. I have spent the past six years perfecting my lacrosse and ice hockey game. Dr. Cordasco and Dr. Green have given me the opportunity to play sports in college and kept me in the game. I could not have imagined a life without these two amazing doctors.
