Kate Baird, MA, ACSM-CEP, CSCS

Kate Baird is an Exercise Physiologist on the HSS Sports Rehabilitation and Performance team, as well as site manager at Hudson Yards and Coordinator of Running and Metabolic Services. She attended New World School of the Arts for a bachelor's degree in dance before moving to NYC. After her professional dancing career shifted, she returned to school at Teacher's College Columbia University and achieved her Master's in Exercise Physiology. She is a USA Triathlon, Level 1 Coach, USATF Certified Running Coach and UESCA Certified Cycling Coach.

Kate has worked in both clinical and commercial environments over the past 10 years. Her extensive experience includes coordinating research in diabetes and exercise at Mount Sinai Hospital, sport analysis and performance at the NYU Langone Sports Performance Center, and helping to develop metabolic testing, lecturing in Strength and Conditioning and Motor Development for both undergraduates and graduates at Brooklyn College. She also has experience consulting for various studio fitness companies including FitLink, HACKD, and privately. As an Exercise Physiologist, she has worked with runners, professional athletes, and weekend warriors performing exercise testing, exercise prescription, and teaching group fitness. She has worked with individuals with a variety of special considerations such as diabetes, cardiovascular and metabolic disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, and return to sport after injury. As a mom of 2 and daughter herself, she also enjoys working with women before and after birth and believes each body takes on its own journey. Kate is driven by helping people develop the knowledge and motivation to embody both their physical and mental best in life and do the things they want to do.
