My right ankle was severe misaligned, which caused a great deal of pain with normal walking activities for years. Prior to meeting Dr. Cody, other orthopedic doctors told me that the only option was to have ankle fusion surgery. I was very reluctant due to the potential of losing much of the ankle flexibility. After the comprehensive assessment by Dr. Cody, she concluded that I was a suitable candidate for the total ankle replacement surgery instead. I am grateful for that advice. The surgery was extremely successful. I am now fully functional without any pain or loss of flexibility.
