In August of 2019, at the age of 44, I injured my knee while grappling. An MRI revealed that I had a completely torn ACL and a torn meniscus. After meeting with three different doctors and researching different techniques, I decided to have Dr. DiFelice perform the reconstructive surgery. Dr. DiFelice's technique just made sense to me and it helped that he was an athlete as well. He explained the procedure and recovery process in great detail. The surgery went well and everyone at HSS was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and caring. The healing progressed as Dr. DiFelice stated. During physical therapy I was deadlifting, squatting, and moving more dynamically than before my surgery. I am completely pain-free and have no concern about my surgical knee. Overall, the experience was very positive and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. DiFelice or HSS.
