I have been cheering my whole life, that's how much I love it and it means to me!

On April 2, 2016 I was cheering at a competition in Maryland when I landed hard and I heard a pop. I knew something was wrong. I was in pain and I couldn't walk, but somehow I managed to finish my routine and went to the back of the platform. The physicians assistant at the competition told me she thought that I tore my ACL, and after going to the doctor and having an MRI, it was confirmed.

My mom and dad did a lot of research after that to see where I should have the surgery and we chose Dr. Cordasco at Hospital for Special Surgery.

I was so scared that day. It was April 20th and I remember shaking when I went in. Dr. Cordasco signed his name on my knee with a marker (LOL) and next thing I knew I was done and I was in my beautiful room. It was like a hotel and it was so clean (my mom loved it). Everything was great!! The room was awesome and the food was delicious. I remember the nurses were so pretty and they took such good care of me and my mom, I think she was more scared then me.

Well, I was just cleared by Michael, my Physical Therapist, and I returned to Cheer!!! I can't say enough about how great my experience was at the hospital. I only wish I remembered everyone's name :( Now I don't want to be a professional cheerleader when I grow up, I want to be a nurse like the ones that helped me during my surgery. Thank you to all. I will never forget what you did for me:)
