HSS Ortho Injury Care

HSS now has a location offering same day or next day evaluations and care for patients with sprains, strains and possible fractures. HSS Ortho Injury Care offers appointments with providers on the same day or usually within 24 hours for patients who need to be seen quickly for diagnosis and care. The office is also open on Saturdays. Services include X-ray imaging, medical diagnosis, care and nonsurgical management of musculoskeletal (orthopedic) injuries and recent onset, acute joint pain.

Center for Professional Sports Medicine

The Center for Professional Sports Medicine brings together top orthopedists, sports medicine practitioners and physicians from related disciplines to provide integrative healthcare for professional athletes.

Women’s Sports Medicine Center

The first of its kind in the United States, the Women’s Sports Medicine Center at HSS is a nationally recognized health resource for active women of all ages and abilities, from professional athletes to eager novices. The Center’s multidisciplinary staff includes a team of physicians (fellowship trained in sports medicine), nutritionists, exercise physiologists, physical therapists, sports psychologists, and nurses.

Institute for Cartilage Repair

The HSS Institute for Cartilage Repair focuses on the treatment of symptomatic cartilage lesions. The Institute for Cartilage Repair was developed by a skilled, multidisciplinary group of clinicians in response to growing clinical need for more durable cartilage and meniscal repair procedures.

Patellofemoral Center

The physicians at the Patellofemoral Center specialize in the management of kneecap pain and deterioration. Using the latest technology, our specialists can help you heal and gain mobility from patellofemoral injuries like knee dislocations.

Sports Rehabilitation and Performance Center

The James M. Benson Sports Rehabilitation Center and Tisch Sports Performance Center specialize in the treatment and prevention of orthopedic and sports-related injuries, and offer the most advanced performance services available today. Whether helping a high school basketball player or an Olympic swimmer, sports-related physical therapists and performance specialists help athletes of all ages and abilities get back to doing what they love-and do it better than ever.

Performing Arts Collaborative

The Performing Arts Medicine Collaborative helps performing artists get back onstage so that they can continue uplifting the world with their talents. Our collaborative brings together experts from a range of specialties to provide world-class, comprehensive care to dancers, musicians and performers.

Non-surgical Foot and Ankle Service

This unique service is dedicated to providing nonsurgical treatment for foot and ankle problems and is the very first in the greater New York area located at a major teaching hospital for orthopedic/musculoskeletal care and research. Sports-related injuries treated by the service include heel and achilles pain, ankle sprains, shin splints, bunion pain, metatarsal pain, neuroma, sesamoid bone, stress fractures, overuse injuries, tendon problems, and all musculoskeletal injuries involving the foot and ankle.
