In May 2023 I dislocated my left hip for the second time since my original surgery 11 years ago at HSS. I went immediately to HSS Orthopedics with Stamford Health, where the hip was put back into place, and then made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Cynthia Kahlenberg. Dr. Kahlenberg told me that I would have to have hip revision surgery to prevent this from happening again.

On June 15, 2023, Dr. Kahlenberg performed the hip revision surgery. The surgery was a huge success thanks to Dr. Kahlenberg’s excellent skills as a doctor. She carefully and fully explained the surgery, the rehabilitation process, the medication involved and the entire procedure from start to finish. Thanks to Dr. Kahlenberg I knew just what to expect before, during and after the surgery. Dr. Kahlenberg is a very capable and gifted surgeon. She is kind, caring and has always listened and responded to my questions and concerns. In addition to this Dr. Kahlenberg’s staff is always prompt in returning phone calls and responding to patients. I’m happy to say that 2 months after my surgery and rehabilitation I am Back in the Game resuming all my normal activities including playing golf. I would highly recommend Dr. Kahlenberg to anyone looking for an orthopedic surgeon.
