It was 1999, nine years after my hip was broken in a car accident. The repair done at another hospital failed and I could only walk with crutches. At 33 this was no way to live. Dr. Pellicci exuded confidence and said he could return my life. He did. Fast forward 24 years to 2023 and after countless ski runs, 6 days a week at gym, biking, hiking and walking, my 24 year old prosthetic needed a tune up. After much consideration I chose Dr. Thomas Sculco. He performed a complex revision to replace the plastic and metal cup as well as deal with osteolysis. I am even stronger and will always be indebted to HSS. From the security guard all the way to the surgeons, it is the epitome of professionalism.
