Once upon a time I could hardly walk, hobbled by chronic and acute injuries. After several unsuccessful interventions, my doctor suggested I try the exercise and rehabilitation program at HSS. I was referred to Matthew Accetta, who conducted a fitness assessment. It was lamentable but it was a start. In consultation with my doctors, Matthew referred me to specialists and a physical therapist at HSS and we crafted a plan. I agreed that I would commit, be consistent, and keep showing up. He would look after the big picture, I just had to do the work. Matthew methodically took me through a program that not only restored all my lost function, but has me in the best shape of my life. I continue to show up to see what else is possible.
