Prior to my illnesses, I was a cellular biologist at Pepsi Co. in Hawthorne, NY. Due to improper, unergonomic conditions, I degenerated two discs in my cervical spine. After an entire year of unsuccessful treatment, I was finally referred to Hospital for Special Surgery. This institution, specifically Dr. Andrew Sama, saved my life and my future. I am successfully recovered less than a year post-surgery. I regained motion in my right hand, as well as minimized neck pains.
