I had a 4-level back fusion performed August 2019. Dr. Qureshi and team performed this surgery in two parts - part 1 on a Friday and part 2 on a Monday. I was home that following Thursday. Trust me, I was not dancing that Thursday. It took hard, determined and sometimes very uncomfortable & difficult work with physical therapy to get moving, walk slowly and a bit faster, then progressing to a walk & jog and then very slowly back to finally hitting a Pickleball. I have had regular visits with Dr. Qureshi for checkups. He's a great guy who is compassionate, caring, and dedicated to his patients. We are now 2 years post-surgery and I am delighted that I am playing Pickleball regularly once again at 73. Recently a partner and I entered the NJ Pickleball Open in the Super Seniors Division and we won a Bronze medal. Two days later, a different partner and I entered the open division and won a silver medal. I joked with the winners - two brothers who had a combined age of 73, which in total is my age.
