With years of wear and tear on my back, I suffered with lower back pain from a herniated disc. I was not able to do most tasks because of the pain and also had to stop most of the things I enjoyed the most. I started seeing Dr. Charnoff to help with pain management. He was the most personable doctor who really gets to know his patients. After a year of seeing Dr. Charnoff, he suggested consulting with a surgeon and recommended Dr. Kim, and I’m so glad he did. Dr. Kim was overqualified for the surgery he performed, which was a relief for me to hear going into the surgery. He thoroughly went over the procedure and what recovery would look like. His team was a bonus by answering questions and emails fast and filling out paperwork. The day of the surgery was a breeze thanks to the nurses and surgical staff. They understand the anxiety and work with you. I have only wonderful experiences with the staff at HSS and will be recommending them and coming to them with any future orthopedic needs.
