By early 2015, my lower back pain had become so intense that I couldn't walk one city block without keeling over in excruciating pain. Dr. Girardi diagnosed the problem, then performed decompression and laminectomy surgery. Dr. Waldman followed up with aspiration of a couple synovial cysts and later that year I completed the TCS NYC Marathon with no discomfort whatsoever.

This year, 2023, will mark my 26th consecutive TCS NYC Marathon and 77th across 49 states and Washington DC.
