I had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff and a torn bicep tendon of my right shoulder in late September 2015. I was initially advised by my local orthopedic surgeon that the surgery would be worse than the surgery to repair a broken collar bone on my left shoulder, which was such a miserable experience that I postponed surgery for a couple of months. I then decided to get a second opinion from HSS. After meeting Dr. MacGillivray, I immediately scheduled surgery at HSS. I am pleased to report that I never experienced any pain, was out of my sling within 2 weeks, was back playing tennis in three and a half months and only wish I had scheduled the surgery sooner. I would highly recommend Dr. MacGillivray! Everyone at HSS was incredibly kind and professional. Thrilled with outcome!
