I was diagnosed with Scoliosis during my early teen years. I was referred to HSS and it was the best option. There I met Dr. Green who made me feel safe and told me every step that he was going to do in order for me to be fully informed. The nurses & staff made me feel super comfortable. It was like my second home. Recuperation was a full success, which I don't regret. My spine is fully fused and I can do a lot of things like regular people, many times I even forget that I had rods all over my spine. During my early 20's I was diagnosed with Spondylolisthesis and was refereed to Dr. Sama. I was scared to see another Doctor since I was used to Dr. Green, however Dr. Sama was also a great doctor. He made me feel like his sister and guided me throughout the process. Now I am learning how to take care of myself better in order to protect my spine. I live a normal life, but I need to realize that I cannot do things like others but this does not stop me from living my life. I don't regret having Scoliosis and Spondylolisthesis. This has made me stronger and I like who I've become. Thank you!
