Research Interests:
Dr. Hsu is a visiting scientist at Hospital for Special Surgery from Taiwan. He is an orthopedic surgeon at China Medical University Hospital and a Professor of Medicine at China Medical University. He has had more than 25 years of clinical experience in Orthopedics and has a special interest in the use of new technology to solve patient problems. His major clinical interests include total joint replacement and sports medicine. His early research was focused on joint biomechanics. He was a research fellow at the Mayo Clinic, where he studied under the direction of Dr. Kai-Nan An, in 1993-1994. His research is currently focused on soft tissue engineering, specifically tissue/ implant integration.
