I had my left knee done near where I live. Long story short after a year of pain and medications, it was determined by another doctor that I was allergic to the nickel in my knee. I had a blood test, which indicated a severe allergy to nickel. The doctor who did my knee said I could not be allergic as I wore glasses (true story). His option was to amputate my left leg above the knee. I researched online allergies to implants and, by the grace of God, HSS came up. I contacted Dr. Westrich, went to NYC to see him, and the rest was history. He revised my knee, and I was at home mowing the lawn three days later after barely hobbling for over a year. Since then, he has done both of my hips. The man is a saint and professional in my book. I cannot recommend him enough.
