I came across the ocean for Dr. Rozbruch. I heard he is the best orthopedics doctor in the world and paired with HSS, ranked no. 1 hospital on this topic, I told myself it should be the winning combination. And it was! I had surgery to correct knee misalignment and avoid progression into joint damage.

During the medical consultation in New York, I told Dr. Rozbruch that I came from far and for him, no pressure, but I am expecting excellent results. And the results were indeed excellent! He had no choice. After the surgery, I went back home to Switzerland to continue the rehabilitation. My local doctors saw the x-rays and the surgery scars, and they were very impressed, mentioning the surgery was “perfectly executed” and that this type of surgery is complex and would entail a bigger cut leaving bigger scars, while mine were minimal and barely visible.

The pain is gone! Four months after the surgery, I was back up and running, literally running! And 6 months after the surgery I was back to skiing too! I am so grateful to Dr. Rozbruch and his team and to all the HSS staff that took care of me for this surgery. I benefited from their exceptional expertise and care. Outstanding! They are the best! And they also stoically put up with me, my requests and my jokes - some of them not so funny!
