Throughout my early 20s, I had constant hip pain during and after any physical activity, even as simple as walking around the block. I am an avid hockey player (2-4 times a week for the last 14 years) and I frequently hike as well. By the time I was 24, I was barely able to walk 2 city blocks without having to sit and I was struggling to perform at the level I should have.

At 25, Dr. Ranawat performed hip arthroscopy to correct an impingement and labral tears. Less than 12 months later, I am fully recovered and can’t remember the last time I felt this good. I am back to competing at high levels of hockey, playing 2-4 days per week with no pain. I most recently went on a camping trip and hiked more than 70 miles with over 15,000 feet of elevation gain and descent, again, with 0 pain.
