I can't thank HSS, Dr. Levine and the entire team for fixing my leg. I was worried I wouldn't be able to walk comfortably. On March 27, 2022 I broke my ankle and fibula skiing. After 2 surgeries and 4 screws, I was able to put weight on my leg on July 7th. And that was my new beginning. Thanks to amazing HSS care team I was able to accomplish quite a few races already:

Sept. 18th, 2022 - Bronx 10 Mile

Oct. 9th - Staten Island Half

Nov. 6th - TCS New York City Marathon

Dec. 3rd - Central Park 15K

Jan. 22nd, 2023 - Fred Lebow Half Marathon in Central Park

Mar. 15th - United Airlines NYC Half

I literally cry every time I cross the finish line and in my mind thank all the physicians and staff at HSS. I stop by the HSS booth every time after races to thank the team for the amazing work they provide.

After surgery, I was also able to go back to my bouldering and biking. I was even able to keep up in ninja gym! It's almost crazy to think that this day a year ago I had my first ankle surgery to fix my leg.

Thank you HSS, Dr. Levine and the whole team. I'm spreading kind words about you everywhere I go. You saved me from not being able to move and do what I love the most. You saved my life.
