I had four previous back fusion surgeries, but they didn't solve the problem of my chronic pain or address the fact that I was bent over. The neurosurgeons said I needed more surgery, and due to the complexity of my case, they referred me to HSS. When I first met Dr. Kim, I was impressed. I liked the fact that he looked directly at me when he spoke. He didn't hesitate, which helped facilitate my wife being on board. Now I'm standing tall, thanks to Dr. Kim. My wife tells me almost every day what a miracle it is.
