I just turned 50 and my doctor explained I needed a hip replacement. After explaining I had 2 big vacations to Europe planned and I would rather wait, his response was, "wouldn't you rather feel better when you go?"
It's hard to get your head around the fact that I could have a hip replacement and be feeling great in 6 short weeks! I traveled to the Netherlands and France 9 weeks after my surgery and walked everywhere with NO pain and NO LONGER hobbled around! My first trip I was concerned about was with my 23-year-old niece and we walked and walked!

Dr. Westrich replaced my left hip in 2019 and my right in 2023. I cannot say enough great things about how well my surgery and recovery went. HSS is amazing and I am literally a walking billboard! I am always telling people it's the only hospital to consider for a hip replacement!
