Kara Ryan

When I came to HSS in the spring of 2015, I had just finished my first year of medical school. I had been experiencing leg pain from hardware related to a previous fracture that had gone undiagnosed for 5 years. I was unsure how I could move forward with school and the prospect of surgery, let alone getting back to the regular activities I enjoyed. With the help and expertise of Drs. S. Robert Rozbruch and Samuel Taylor, I am now preparing to graduate from medical school and begin residency, without having needed to take any time away from my academic schedule for three separate procedures over the past three years. HSS worked with me every step of the way, and in the process, has helped me revitalize my commitment to pursuing a career helping others lead active and fulfilling lives. I would not be where I am without the surgeons, nurses, physical therapists and compassionate staff at this wonderful institution - thank you, all!
