I had a total hip replacement in 2015. I had a lot of pain and difficulty walking for 18 months after the surgery and sought a second opinion with Dr. David Mayman. I saw Dr. Mayman in May of 2017. After he reviewed my x-rays, he confirmed that my prosthetic was loose and needed to be replaced. I was upset but relieved to know it could be corrected. The surgery, which took place in June 2017 went smoothly. Dr. Mayman and the team at HSS were amazing. Within a week at home I was walking almost pain-free, without a limp! Within a few weeks I walking without a cane. I can't thank Dr. Mayman enough for all he did. Now I am 8 months post op. I am walking at least 3 miles a day, back at the gym 3-4 times per week and getting "back in the game"!
