Walking in pain became my life. After countless doctors I tried HSS. Dr Demetracopoulos. I still remember those four words..."I can fix this." I cried. March 30th was my five hour surgery. My foot was fused on the top and the outside. I have 13 pins and 3 plates. He also repaired my Achilles. Recovery has been long. Dr. Demetracopoulos told me it would be six months before I would walk. Now at 23 weeks post-op I have no walker, no cane! When I first took a few steps I was amazed. My new favorite four words are "Dr. D fixed it." The entire staff at HSS from the door greeters, X-Ray, Losant and Vanessa have been so caring. Dr. Demetracopoulos is an incredibly skilled surgeon. He is a miracle worker. I have a life back thanks to him. Don't put it off. Get your life back too.
