I first want take a moment to express my appreciation to Dr. Jerabek's Practice Manager Vi and the entire office staff for coordinating all that needed to be done in connection my surgery. In my case, it wasn't easy, with telephone tag challenges, cardiac clearance scheduling, pre-insurance of MRI, etc. You are a true professional. You "Got Me to the OR on Time" :)

My initial meeting with Dr. Jerabek and several subsequent phone conversations following an MRI enabled me to understand the torn discoid meniscus condition coupled with arthritis, and what treatment options could be considered. Together, we decided on arthroscopy to reform and repair the meniscus, and to examine the arthritis more closely.

Dr. Holloman did a thorough pre-examination and cleared me for surgery.

Dr. Jerabek and anesthesiologist Dr. Wedel's "morning of" conversations with my wife and I were clear, unrushed and very helpful.

I'm guessing the surgery went well. I wasn't watching :)

Released a few hours later, I enjoyed the aftereffects of the anesthetics. That night, I enjoyed the first night of sleep in several years that was not interrupted by knee pain.

I would also like to mention that throughout my visit, it was apparent that the hospital had established effective procedures for safety, correct identification and infection avoidance. Everyone I came in contact with seemed to be following these procedures to the letter.

This was my third surgical procedure at HSS, I am totally satisfied with the experience.
