I had been an active multi-sports person my whole life and then at age 70, an earlier rock climbing incident that hurt my right ankle was putting me out of tennis. I had the main joint in my right ankle fused at HSS and I've been back at tennis now for 5 years. In the photo, I'm kneeling on the left wearing ankle braces, but playing tennis on a USTA team.
