Dr. Vincenzo Castellano is a board certified physician specializing in interventional spine and sports medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery. He treats disorders of the lower back, thoracic spine, neck, various joints and muscles. In addition, Dr. Castellano performs minimally invasive procedures including fluoroscopically-guided radiofrequency ablations and epidural steroid injections at the Special Procedures Unit. The Special Procedures Unit is a Hospital for Special Surgery facility outfitted with the safeguards of an operating room, but in a convenient and welcoming outpatient setting instead.

Dr. Castellano underwent his undergraduate studies at Columbia University. He then attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. Thereafter, Dr. Castellano completed his residency at UCLA / GLAVA Medical Centers. He subsequently underwent a fellowship in interventional spine and sports medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery.

Dr. Castellano has received numerous awards voted on by his peers and patients. In 2008, he had the honor of being chosen as Medical Director of the Integrative Care Center. Dr. Castellano served as Medical Director of the Integrative Care Center for more than ten years. In 2018, he had the privilege of being chosen as a senior faculty member of the Center for the Advancement of Value in Musculoskeletal Care. In 2020, Dr. Castellano became a charter member of the HSS Center for Regenerative Medicine. The HSS Center for Regenerative Medicine is committed to identifying new treatment options that seek to regenerate tissues damaged by disease and stimulate the body to heal injuries that previously could not be repaired.

Dr. Castellano’s offices are conveniently located at the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery’s Main Campus in Manhattan and the state-of-the-art HSS Westchester in White Plains, NY.
