Perinatal Movement and Physical Well-being Resource Center

The Perinatal Movement and Physical Well-being Resource Center at HSS is focused on helping patients stay active and healthy before, during, and after pregnancy. Our collaborative group brings together experts from a range of specialties, including sports medicine, physiatry, rehabilitation, exercise physiology, nutrition, and more.

Patients receive personalized care tailored to their unique needs and interests, ranging from back pain during pregnancy to return to exercise after pregnancy. We also offer a complete range of injury prevention and wellness services, including nutrition, massage, and Pilates, designed to support patients in their health and fitness goals.

Our team of musculoskeletal specialists are part of the HSS Women's Sports Medicine Center and have extensive experience in the field of women’s health and sports medicine. They conduct clinical research and present at community and national conferences on topics related to the movement, well-being, and physical performance of women at all phases of their life cycles including the perinatal and post-partum periods. Many of our clinicians are medical providers for or consult for organizations such as USA Gymnastics, the WNBA, and National Ski Patrol. They routinely provide coverage for the NYC Marathon, and the NYC Mini-10K Run.
