I was in a car accident in April of 2023. I sought care from a neurologist near my home who was “managing" my concussion care. After almost 2 years, I was still living a very limited life due to concussion symptoms. All of this changed when I sought care from HSS! My first stop was Dr. Krina Vyas, who I cannot say enough kind things about! I saw her for a broken vertebrae and she sent me to Dr. Kouros Emami to heal from my concussion. The day of my first appointment, Dr. Emami gave me the facts and told me the truth which began my first true step towards recovery! He was kind but honest which I appreciated more than anyone can imagine. Without his input I know my life would still be seriously inhibited. He also gave me the necessary support of Hannah Solomon, the finest physical therapist I have been privileged to be in the care of. Like Dr. Emami, Hannah was honest and encouraging giving me the tools to take my life back. I also felt held and well cared for as these three elite medical professionals updated one another regularly on my progress! I would be welcomed at each appointment with congratulations on my latest accomplishments as told by another member of my HSS Dream Team! If someone I care for is ever unlucky enough to suffer a concussion, I would 100% drive them to Dr. Emami immediately! Thank you all for putting me on an actual road to recovery!
