One week before my back surgery, my first grandchild was born, but I couldn’t be there. My condition had become so severe that I could barely walk, and I feared I might spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair.

I tried everything before considering surgery, medication, chiropractic care, and epidurals, but nothing worked. Back surgery was my last option, and I was terrified. Still, I knew I needed my life back.

On August 22, 2022, I had my surgery. Although the procedure was long, my recovery was smooth and quicker than I expected. Looking back, my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.

Today, I’m living pain-free, walking straight, and most importantly, able to play with my beautiful grandson. I’m incredibly grateful to the team at HSS and especially to Dr. Cammisa for giving me my life and mobility back.
