On August 2, 2024, I had my left hip replaced by Dr. Chalmers. He used the Superior Transverse Anatomic Reconstruction (STAR) approach. With the STAR approach, there is less muscle cutting than the anterior or posterior procedures. My recovery was amazing. I had very little pain - believe me, I have pain when I have a paper cut! Dr. Chalmers and his staff are top-notch. I recommended two friends to him for hip replacement, and they were both very satisfied.
