I was having excruciating hip pain and was struggling to walk. My life consisted of struggling to get through the day as a registered nurse, and staying completely in bed after work with no social life on the weekends. One day I decided to look for an orthopedic surgeon on my own. I knew HSS was number one when it came to orthopedics, so I found Dr. William Long. The surgery was done in January 2024 and the first week was rough. Other than the surgery pain, I had no pain. I stayed consistent with my physical therapy and 6 weeks later, I was back to work walking and working with no pain. After my first week back to work I felt great, but one day leaving work, I was crossing the street and was struck by a car, which sent me in the air and landed on my right side where my hip was replaced, I was so frightened, but I was able to sit up so I knew it wasn't dislocated. I went to the local ER, where they confirmed that everything was fine, and made an appointment with Dr. Long. Dr. Long ordered x-rays, and everything was fine with no hip problems or pain! I would highly recommend him again and again! I will be booking my knee replacement for my right knee and knee revision surgery for my left. Thank you again for all that you do, Dr. Long and HSS.
