It's hard to remember sometimes that this was a major surgery. Dr. McLawhorn makes sure you know exactly what to expect and what you are supposed to do after the surgery. The whole staff is extremely well organized and caring. And the skill level is off the charts.

I went home the day of the surgery and walked up the steps to my room. I had a tough time sleeping the first couple of nights, but I was off medications in two days and slowly walking around the house with no issues right away. After a week, aside from needing a lot of ice, I felt reborn. I was and am a little surprised by the knee and ankle swelling but the surgery was a little over five weeks ago and I'm walking up to two miles a day and extremely pleased. All the OR nurses told me Dr. McLawhorn is the best surgeon in the country and I completely believe it. Great people and great results.
