In 2022, after suffering with hip arthritis for several years, I had my right hip replaced by Dr. Michael P. Ast. He is an amazing surgeon. Everything went very smoothly. My recovery was also speedier than I had imagined it would be. Dr. Ast is obviously an expert surgeon and he also has a great way about him with patients. He uses humor and is a great anxiety reducer. He has great people skills.

His assistants, Geraldine Varga and Nashaly Chavez, assisted me in the logistics of setting up the surgery appointment and walking me through forms and clearances I needed. They did so with patience, expertise, and kindness. Dr. Jennifer Berger is the doctor who saw me for clearance for surgery and she too was great to work with.

It all went so well, I had my left hip replaced late September of this year and all went very well. My goal is to get back on the tennis courts. I’m 75 years old and still athletic - I love to swim, walk, and play tennis. My two shiny new hips may get me back on the tennis court.
