I am inspired to write this story after my exceptional care at HSS! Although my journey began shortly after birth with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, I can honestly say I have gotten my life back on track, thanks to three wonderful doctors! Dr. Baxi has been my physiatrist for six years now, and I cannot say enough good things about his knowledge, concern, and caring. Even when non-surgical options were exhausted, he made sure my continuity of care went to Dr. Dowdell. My lumbar decompression was on 4/14/22. During my surgery, he unexpectedly found a large cyst that absolutely needed to be removed too!! The surgery has left me virtually pain free, and now I concentrate on changing my gait with a shoe lift on the right, and the absence of a brace on the left! Dr. Rozbruch says that I am even a candidate for limb lengthening surgery, if I choose to do so in the future. I would be remiss if I failed to mention Teresa Tavarez, whose kindness, efficiency, and attention to detail made appointments, etc. seamless. Excellent teamwork!
