From my initial consultation to my recent surgery, I could not be more impressed with HSS and my surgeon, Dr. McLawhorn. Diagnosed with congenital hip dysplasia in the 1990s, I have suffered with bilateral hip pain and degeneration for over 20 years. After having a horrible experience at another hospital with my first hip replacement in 2013, Dr. McLawhorn took the time to examine my case and provide me with realistic options. I underwent successful hip replacement surgery in September 2020 and actually cried when I was able to stand and walk only hours out of surgery with no pain. I am on the road to getting full mobility back and am looking forward to revision surgery on my other hip in 2021. I cannot recommend Dr. McLawhorn and his team enough. Thank you for giving me my life back!
