For more than a year of living in pain and being misdiagnosed, I experienced doctor visits that ranged from indifference to incompetence to uncaring. When I walked through the doors of HSS and met with Dr. McLawhorn and Dr. Massimi, all that changed. From beginning to end it was an excellent and professional experience. I was immediately diagnosed, and I had a total left hip replacement on November 6th. I have my life back; I'm now pain-free and can get back to my normal, active self, which now includes a new grandson that I can hold without feeling unstable.
