I assumed my escalating back pain was due to an old spinal injury and my days of skiing, spin, diving and hiking were limited. When an x-ray revealed a bone on bone right osteoarthritic hip, I was referred to Dr. Jose Rodriguez by a friend who is an orthopedic surgeon. On June 14, 2019, Dr. Rodriguez performed total hip replacement. 3 months later, I was in Belize diving the Blue Hole and now, 6 months post-op, I am back on the ski slopes, pain-free, thanks to Dr. Rodriguez and the HSS team.
