Dear prospective patients,

If you are reading this then you are probably researching an orthopedic surgeon. STOP! Search no more! You have come to the right place. I was terrified at the thought of having surgery! After meeting Dr. Peter Sculco and his assistant Joy Buechler I knew that I was in the right place. They were positive, reassuring and downright awesome!

The doctors and staff at HSS are truly amazing. Everyone has a specific job to do and in my case it was done to perfection. The hospital experience was flawless. My only regret is that I did not have a chance to thank everyone due to the fact that my hospital stay was less than 24 hours! So be sure to thank people along the way because you probably will not see them again. I am hesitant to say that my experience was easy (no surgery is easy) but my experience was easy! I was up and around on day one, walking a half mile a day with a cane at 2 weeks and pretty much back to normal at 2 months.

Listen to your body, follow your doctor’s advice, do your rehab and you will be back doing the things you love before you know it. So it is without hesitation that I recommend Dr. Peter Sculco as an outstanding surgeon and HSS as an incredible hospital. Best wishes and good health!
