About 4 years back, I started to notice pain in my knee. I got an MRI of my knee and found out I had OCD of the knee. My parents and I never heard of it before and my first doctors said I could live with it. But over time it only got worse and that's when I saw Dr. Fabricant. He knew what it was and saw a lot of people with this. He told me that I would have to quit Baseball and Hockey for 3 months to try and cure it with physical therapy, but that only made it worse. Then he said it was time for the surgery and that I probably wouldn't play Hockey or Baseball for another 6 months. After 5 months of recovery, Dr. Fabricant said I healed faster than expected and had me back to Baseball and Hockey. After he cleared me that day, I was back on the ice and back to baseball. HSS will always be a big part of my life because I never thought I would be back to sports with no pain after 4 years.
